The best way to learn something is to go ahead and do it. In 2018, Stephen Castillo and Phill Brush met on Craigslist formed The Western Express, and began playing shows in Austin’s live music scene. Over the next two years, they developed a strong bond and a working relationship that allowed each to focus on their strengths. After releasing their debut album Lunatics, Lovers & Poets in 2022, which captured the sound and sentiments of honky-tonk life with hits such as “Flower of the Rio Grande” and “Honky Tonk Saints,”, The Western Express is back with another fun song about a guy meeting the girl of his dreams and dancing the night away and… Well, you’ll have to listen to the interview to hear what happens next.
This is their newest release, "You and Me and the Neon."
